My husband took a new job in another city and we needed to sell the house we left behind. We now have only one remaining mortgage debt on a duplex rental property, and it pays for itself. Our next goal is to pay this off early. But most important, heading into this time of economic uncertainty, we now have TRUE FINANCIAL PEACE! And the absence of financial stress is a wonderful thing on a marriage and a home.

We are renting and eventually we will purchase another house. Our FPU plan is to save the proceeds of the sale and begin saving the difference each month so we will have a very sizeable down payment on the next house. And we will have a 15yr (or less), fixed-rate note if we need to finance.
